We are seeking a Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement activities and supplier relationships to support freight transport and logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and negotiate with suppliers for transport-related equipment, materials, and services
- Manage procurement activities to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment requirements
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and service providers
- Evaluate supplier performance and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Ensure purchasing records, contracts, and documentation are properly maintained
- Collaborate with operations teams to support business requirements
Requirements:
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills
- Good understanding of procurement processes and supplier management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
