Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Public Relations Officer to join our team. As a Public Relations Officer, you will be responsible for managing and enhancing the public image and reputation of our organization. You will develop and execute effective communication strategies, build relationships with key stakeholders, and handle media relations.The ideal candidate has exceptional communication skills, a strong understanding of public relations principles, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities- Communication Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives. Create messaging frameworks, key talking points, and press releases to effectively convey the organization's mission, initiatives, and achievements.
- Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with media representatives, journalists, and influencers. Proactively pitch stories and secure media coverage for the organization and its events, campaigns, and milestones. Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and coordinate interviews and press conferences.
- Content Creation: Write, edit, and distribute compelling and engaging content for various channels, including press releases, newsletters, articles, blog posts, and social media. Ensure all content is accurate, consistent, and aligned with the organization's brand and messaging.
- Crisis Management: Act as the organization's spokesperson during times of crisis or reputation management issues. Develop crisis communication plans, prepare key messaging, and manage media inquiries effectively. Mitigate potential damage to the organization's reputation and maintain transparency and trust with stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, government agencies, and community organizations. Develop communication materials tailored to specific audiences and collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all touchpoints.
- Event Planning and Management: Coordinate and oversee the planning and execution of press conferences, product launches, corporate events, and other public relations initiatives. Work closely with event organizers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution and maximum media exposure.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor media coverage and public sentiment related to the organization and its industry. Prepare regular reports on media activity, campaign effectiveness, and key performance indicators. Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Experience working in the entertainment and nightlife industry
- Able to work on weekends and public holidays if required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
- Knowledge of public relations principles, strategies, and best practices.
- Experience in media relations, including pitching stories and handling media inquiries.
- Ability to effectively manage crisis situations and handle sensitive information.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing trends.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
- Knowledge of mandarin dialect is essential as our customer base is primarily mandarin speaking
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work late-night hours up to 3am, including weekends and public holidays
