Design Engineer @ Loyang

As a Design Engineer, your responsibilities are:

• Support NPI (New Product Introduction) on product design and development.
• Oversee the design and documentation of components made from precision machined parts and sheet metal.
• Employ Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) tools to enhance design manufacturability.
• Conduct impact analysis to refine designs, ensuring they meet specifications, project timelines, and cost objectives.
• Participate in technical discussions and present design solutions to clients.
• Coordinate the fabrication, assembly, and validation of prototypes to ensure they meet specifications.
• Prepare drawing proposal and tooling design.
• Conduct tooling buy-o7 and hands-on tooling setup.
• Initiate and conduct the improvement project evaluation.
• Liaise with customer on design requirement and alignment.
• Liaise with factory on capability compliance.
• Responsible on tooling expenses and cost control.

Requirements:

• Min. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ Mechatronics Engineering/ Precision Engineering.
• Proficient in using Solidworks and/or other 3D modelling software
• Proficient in using CAD/CAM Programming
• Preferably with working knowledge and experience in tool & die, jig & fixtures design.
• Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Tolerance Stack-up Analysis.
