Executive Director & Chief Compliance Officer (LFMC Licence Application)

Role Overview

You will be the designated Chief Compliance Officer and statutory Executive Director of the company, serving as the primary point of contact with MAS throughout the LFMC licensing process and ongoing regulatory supervision. You will build the firm’s full compliance, AML/KYC and operational governance framework, coordinate all external professional parties to ensure the firm complies with Singapore financial regulatory requirements at all times.

• Serve as statutory Executive Director and appointed Compliance Officer, complete MAS Fit & Proper background vetting for LFMC licensing submission.
• Draft full set of compliance policies, AML/CFT, KYC, PDPA and internal control manuals from scratch in line with MAS regulatory notices.
• Take full ownership of client onboarding due diligence, fund operational workflow, NAV reconciliation, custodian coordination and periodic MAS regulatory reporting.
• Be the sole liaison with MAS to handle regulatory enquiries, on-site inspections, external audits and all licensing-related regulatory submissions.
• Oversee compliance governance for our Cayman SPV/SP cross-border fund structures, review legal documents, prospectuses and disclosure materials.
• Manage company secretarial work including ACRA annual filing, tax compliance, board meeting arrangement and internal governance maintenance.

• Minimum 7 years compliance, fund operation, regulatory consulting or legal experience within Singapore MAS-regulated financial institutions.
• Hold the requisite CMFAS module qualifications to be registered as MAS Responsible Officer (RO) for LFMC.
• Clean regulatory, credit and criminal record to pass MAS Fit & Proper assessment.
• Valid Singapore residence status and must be based in Singapore.
• In-depth working knowledge of Singapore SFA, AML/CFT, PDPA and cross-border private fund compliance regulatory frameworks.
• Proven end-to-end LFMC / CMS licence application track record in Singapore.
• Proficient in bilingual legal & business document drafting, strong stakeholder coordination capability.
• Proficiency in both English and Chinese is essential for cross-regional compliance communication.
