Job Summary
The Therapy Assistant supports the therapy team in delivering patient care and rehabilitation services at a day rehabilitation setting. This role involves assisting therapists with treatment sessions, patient mobility, equipment preparation, and basic administrative duties.On-the-job training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities- Assist therapists in conducting therapy treatment sessions
- Support patient transfers and portering within the centre
- Prepare, set up, and clean therapy equipment before and after sessions
- Maintain cleanliness and proper upkeep of therapy equipment and treatment areas
- Monitor and support patients during therapy activities
- Perform basic administrative duties and inventory control tasks
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for patients during rehabilitation sessions
