Job Description
  • Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for mechanical equipment, including static and rotating equipment.
  • Plan, execute, and monitor contractor routine and non-routine maintenance activities; perform troubleshooting or provide technical guidance when issues arise.
  • Plan and coordinate shutdown maintenance activities for mechanical equipment in accordance with local and global PM requirements, vendor recommendations, and industry best practices.
  • Review risk analysis and maintenance procedures on a regular basis.
  • Maintain and update maintenance records for equipment modifications, repairs, and rerating activities.
  • Identify and update discrepancies in plant equipment records and field conditions.
  • Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for process incidents and mechanically induced failures; recommend corrective actions and follow up on closure.
  • Initiate and execute Engineering Management of Change (EMOC) for plant improvements and modification works.
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of audit actions.
  • Identify bad actors in the plant and drive reliability improvements through short-term and long-term solutions.
  • Review spare parts availability and initiate Bill of Materials (BOM) updates as required.
  • Work closely with Process Engineers to ensure compliance with company guidelines during process or equipment changes.
  • Collaborate with Inspection Engineers to ensure equipment compliance with statutory requirements and applicable API codes for repairs, rerating, and alterations.
  • Collaborate with Reliability Engineers to identify failure root causes and implement mitigation plans.
  • Support Projects and Sales teams during development, execution, and commissioning by providing maintenance inputs.
  • Coordinate with the Warehouse Supervisor on spare parts inventory management to ensure high plant availability.
  • Manage vendors in coordination with Procurement and prepare technical bid evaluations for major equipment purchases.
  • Work closely with regional and global teams to obtain guidance, feedback, and technical support.
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 7 years of maintenance experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry; OR
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with at least 10 years of relevant maintenance experience (preferred).
  • Experience in gas plants such as Gasification, SMR, or ASU is an advantage.
  • Strong conceptual knowledge in the design and maintenance of mechanical static and rotating equipment, including boilers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, piping, valves, steam turbines, compressors, and pumps.
  • Good working knowledge of industrial standards and codes such as API and ASME for mechanical equipment.
