A well-established financial services platform is looking to appoint an experienced Internal Legal Counsel to join its Singapore office in a key standalone legal role supporting regional business operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded legal professional who enjoys working closely with management and business stakeholders across a broad spectrum of legal, regulatory and commercial matters within the financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, legal documentation and contracts
Provide practical legal advice to management and business teams on corporate, employment and commercial matters
Advise on legal and regulatory risks, while recommending commercially sound solutions and risk mitigation strategies
Handle legal aspects of client agreements, disclosures and third-party vendor contracts
Manage contractual relationships with service providers and external counterparties
Support dispute resolution matters and ad-hoc legal projects where required
Maintain proper custody and governance of executed agreements and legal documentation

Requirements:

LLB qualification with approximately 8–10 years of relevant legal experience
At least 5 years of experience within financial services, banking, securities or capital markets environment
Strong knowledge of Singapore financial services regulations, including MAS and SGX frameworks
Good understanding of the Securities and Futures Act and Singapore employment law
Independent, meticulous and commercially pragmatic mindset
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
High level of integrity, professionalism and business partnering capability
