About The Role
The role of a Global Compensation and Performance Management HR Specialist involves developing and administering compensation programs and performance management initiatives that align with the organization's strategic objectives and promote employee engagement and retention.Additionally, as a Regional HR Partner, this individual will work closely with senior leaders to translate business priorities and organization needs into people and HR initiatives. This incumbent will be the HR focal point in Asia and collaborate with HR Business Partners across global business units and country HR colleagues.
How You Will Do It
As Global Compensation and Performance Management HR Specialist, you will:
- Lead compensation strategy development by designing and implementing global compensation programs that support business goals and enhance employee performance.
- Steer job grading and job architecture in division for all jobs worldwide. Align with Corporate Centers in BASF and make sure that divisional needs are met when it comes to changes in Grading or architecture systematic.
- Steer performance management by overseeing the including goal setting, performance evaluations, and feedback mechanisms. Introduce new Performance Management approaches and taking divisional strategy into account as well as BASFs overall vision on Performance Management.
- Prepare and present compensation analysis and performance reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Manage year-end compensation planning processes, including merit increases and bonus allocations.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate managers and employees on compensation and performance management processes.
- Continuous improvement by staying updated on industry trends and best practices in compensation and performance management by recommending enhancements to existing programs. Evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives and make data-driven recommendations for improvements and highlighting gaps and opportunities.
As Regional HRBP, you will:
- Act as HR advisor to consult, share insights, coach and challenge leaders on critical HR topics. Build and maintain a relationship as trusted strategic HR partner with key stakeholders in the unit.
- A bridge between Asia Pacific and Global Headquarters Germany: Bring global perspective by giving in-depth insights to Asia Pacific based leaders to support various Global Business Unit’s strategy.
- Proactively identify organization needs and provide appropriate HR solutions by working closely with HR colleagues of Global Business Units, Regional HR Centre of Excellence and Country HR to implement solutions from the regional HR framework and, if applicable, develop customized HR solutions for the unit. Ensure implementation and review effectiveness.
- Provide advice on organization design, restructuring and cultural change. Steer HR project management and execute specific measures, support related communication.
- Facilitate talent development based on business and operational needs including discussions with management in succession planning, talent review/forum, talent acquisition, and training needs.
- Ensure high performing culture by supporting the unit’s leadership team on performance management discussion/calibration and annual salary review. Foster employee engagement/motivation by promoting recognition and monitor effectiveness.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, HR management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 9 years of professional HR experience in a MNC environment with experience in HR business partnering and driving global HR specialist topics and global projects within chemical industry.
- Proven record of driving Performance Management, talent development and Compensation Strategy Development
- Strong business affinity and acumen and be able to work with senior management in a matrix and dynamic environment
- Strong analytical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a multicultural environment in a global context.
- Flexible to travel when business needs and projects require
