Finance Manager / Assistant Finance Manager – Retail Operations

Are you ready to take ownership of a dynamic retail finance function? We are seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to lead our GL and Non-Trade operations while supporting the growth of our finance team. This is your opportunity to make a tangible impact in a fast-paced retail environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and oversee the General Ledger and Non-Trade accounting functions, including subsidiary operations.
• Review and post accounting entries prepared by finance executives to ensure accuracy.
• Manage payroll recording, reconciliation, and timely processing.
• Oversee credit control, ensuring invoices are accurate, issued promptly, and payments are collected efficiently.
• Review and approve non-trade payment requests, ensuring on-time disbursements.
• Maintain accurate records of fixed assets, vendor and customer codes in SAP, and manage finance-related agreements.
• Execute month-end closing activities, including account clearing and reconciliations.
• Prepare management reports, perform analysis, and handle declarations and surveys.
• Ensure accurate GST reconciliation and timely submission.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and internal policies.
• Support audits, corporate tax, and secretarial matters.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to nurture the finance team’s growth.
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance operational efficiency.
• Assist in developing and refining finance processes to improve productivity.
• Handle other ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Head of Finance.

Requirements :

• Minimum 5 years of relevant finance experience with supervisory exposure.
• Retail industry experience is a strong plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance, or professional qualification (ACCA or equivalent).
• Meticulous, organized, and dependable with a proactive, can-do attitude.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Numerically inclined with a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
• Solid understanding of Singapore Accounting Standards, Companies Act, and other regulatory requirements.
• Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
