Assistant Relationship Manager - Corporate Banking
We are partnering with a leading international bank to support the growth of its Corporate Banking team, with a focus on the Transportation sector. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM) or Credit Analyst to deepen front‑office exposure and progress towards a full Relationship Manager role.
Role
Reporting to senior Relationship Managers and the Team Head, you will play a key role in supporting client coverage across marketing, credit analysis, onboarding, and portfolio management, working closely with internal stakeholders and corporate clients.
This role is well‑suited for candidates seeking a front‑office career path in Corporate Banking, with strong exposure to credit, risk, and client‑facing activities.
ResponsibilitiesClient Coverage & Marketing Support
- Support Relationship Managers with strategic marketing initiatives and client engagement activities
- Participate in client meetings to understand business models, credit risks, and identify opportunities
- Prepare discussion papers, deal memos, call reports, and credit proposals
- Work with Transaction Banking and internal teams to drive utilisation of working capital facilities and digital banking platforms
- Liaise with Head Office, onshore and offshore branches, inter‑departments, and corporate clients
- Coordinate account openings and onboarding documentation
- Prepare name clearance and customer due‑diligence documentation for new and existing clients
- Ensure full compliance with the bank’s policies and MAS regulatory requirements
- Support ongoing portfolio monitoring, including covenant compliance, risk triggers, and adverse developments
- Prepare periodic credit reviews and financial analysis
- Monitor loan servicing, collateral valuations, and post‑loan performance
- Assist with ad‑hoc reporting and departmental initiatives as required
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Assistant RM or Credit Analyst within Corporate Banking (commercial banking backgrounds not preferred)
- Strong credit analysis and financial assessment skills
- Good understanding of corporate lending and risk management
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders
- Detail‑oriented, proactive, and team‑oriented mindset
- Exposure to complex corporate banking transactions
- Strong learning environment within an established Corporate Banking platform
