Trade Finance Analyst (Banking, Middle Office, Central)
The position supports day-to-day operations and risk management activities for commodity and structured trade finance transactions. You act as a control layer between the front office (e.g. Relationship Managers) and the back office, ensuring proper monitoring, valuation, and risk mitigation of complex trade finance deals.

Salary up to $10000- Administer and monitor transactional collaterals for Commodity Finance/Structured Finance transactions.
- Perform Mark to Market valuations, monitor cash collateral requirements and follow up on top-ups for transactions that are under-collateralised.
- Monitor Loan to Value ratios to ensure financing within stipulated threshold and conduct margin calls whenever necessary.
- Update transactional details into ST Connect for monitoring of exposures and facility limits management.
- Alert Relationship Managers and Credit Risk Managers of any potential risks which might endanger the underlying asset or identify the source of repayment in a timely manner.
- Performs price check for the teams.
- Secondary back up for Account Officers on assigned portfolio coverage duties.
- Prepare reports as requested by Head of Structured Trade Middle Office.
- Partake in UAT for system enhancements and implementation.
- Perform Connectivity test as and when required for new system rollout or BCP.
- Assist in records archiving and any other admin duties as assigned by Head of Structured Trade Middle Office.
Requirements:
Preferably a bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance or a relevant field.
5–12 years of experience in Commodity Trade Finance Middle Office, Front Office, or Commodity Trading Houses.
Strong proficiency in English and Chinese, especially the latter when dealing with Chinese-speaking customers.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to understand intrinsic transactional risks.
Knowledge of Warehouse Financing, Storage Tank Financing, Borrowing Base Financing, and Revolving Credit Finance is preferred.
Sound understanding of trade-based rules such as UCP600, ISBP745, URC525, and Incoterms 2021.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
