Emergency Medical Technician Driver (Emergency)

Additional duties may include responding to emergency calls, assisting with patient transfers and participating in quality improvement initiatives.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide care and transportation for emergency and non-emergency cases.
• Provide pre-hospital emergency care and life support to patients during ambulance transport to hospitals or emergency rooms.
• Provide Medical Coverage for High-Risk Events
• Conveying patients to hospital promptly whilst ensuring compliance to all Traffic Regulations

• Ensure operational readiness and cleanliness of Ambulance
• Ensure safe navigation and rapid response during activations in accordance to KPIs.
• Assist in stretcher operations and patient handling during high-acuity calls.
• Conduct vehicle readiness checks aligned with daily vehicle inspection requirements.
• Maintain professionalism, responsibility, and accountability in all duties.

• Must: Class 3 driving license + Defensive Driving Certificate + BCLS & AED certified
• Good to have: EMT certification + EAVD (Emergency Vehicle Driving Course) will also be required if you wish to join the emergency team. Applicants without EAVD may be sent for training
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to excellent customer service.
• Ability to adapt, solve problems, and work effectively under pressure.

• Full vaccination against COVID-19 due to the high-risk nature of the position.
• Experience supporting SCDF emergency response runs and understanding of routing protocols is preferred.
