Sales Engineer - Electrical Distribution Solutions
About the role
We are seeking a talented and driven Sales Engineer - Electrical Distribution Solutions to join our team at SIME DARBY INDUSTRIAL SDN BHD'. This is a full-time position based in the Boon Lay West Region of SG. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for driving the sales of our industry-leading electrical distribution solutions, playing a key part in the success and growth of our Electrical/Electronic Engineering division.
What you'll be doing- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the electrical distribution market
- Engaging with customers to understand their unique requirements and propose tailored solutions
- Preparing detailed proposals and technical specifications to win new contracts
- Negotiating commercial terms and closing sales deals
- Providing post-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities to inform our sales strategy
- Collaborating with the wider engineering team to develop innovative new products and services
- A degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related technical field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar sales engineering role within the electrical distribution industry
- Proven track record of successfully identifying, pitching and closing sales deals
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical distribution equipment and systems
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage effectively with customers
- Commercial acumen and the ability to negotiate favourable contract terms
- A collaborative and customer-focused mindset
