Production Manager (Molding)

• Permanent Position / MNC/ Near MRT/ Manufacturing
• 5 days’ work week; Monday to Friday: 8.15am – 5.45pm

Our client is a global advanced precision engineering & manufacturing solutions provider. Due to fast expansion, they are actively seeking for Production Manager.

• Responsible for leading and managing end-to-end manufacturing operations and plastic molding processes within the production facility.
• Work with the maintenance team to ensure optimal machine uptime, minimizes downtime and effective preventive maintenance.
• Oversee a team of production technicians & engineers and work collaboratively with maintenance, engineering, and quality departments to achieve operational excellence.
• Manage manpower planning, staff training, and performance management for production teams.
• Promote a collaborative culture between production and maintenance teams to meet shared goals.
• Coordinate with customers and internal stakeholders on technical and production matters.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory standards
• Monitor and manage production costs, including material usage and labor efficiency.
• Support production operations through effective equipment troubleshooting and continuous improvement of machine availability and OEE.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Min 7 – 10 years of relevant working experience preferably in injection molding or within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in managing a team of production professionals.
• Knowledge of plastic injection molding processes, injection molding machines, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge in ISO9001, ISO13485, TS16949, familiar with FMEA, SPC, DFM, DOE, PPAP, APQP and IOPQ is added advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and control production costs effectively.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Familiarity with safety and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing setting.
