WSH Coordinator - Yishun

We are seeking a diligent and proactive WSH Coordinator to oversee workplace safety and health aspects at our construction sites in Singapore, with a particular focus on rebar and concrete works. The WSH Coordinator will ensure full compliance with MOM and WSH regulations, conduct regular safety meetings, and support the site team in cultivating a strong safety culture.

This role is essential to ensuring safe execution of reinforcement and concrete activities, preventing hazards, and maintaining high safety standards across the worksite.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act (WSHA), MOM, and BCA requirements.
• Identify hazards specific to rebar and concrete works, and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
• Ensure workers use proper PPE during rebar cutting, bending, tying, and concrete pouring activities.
• Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure safe work practices.
• Maintain safety documentation, permits, and inspection checklists.

• Conduct daily toolbox meetings and weekly safety meetings with workers and supervisors.
• Provide safety briefings and training sessions focusing on rebar handling, formwork stability, lifting operations, and concrete pouring safety.
• Raise awareness on accident prevention and safe work procedures.

• Conduct daily safety inspections and ensure compliance with site safety rules.
• Stop unsafe work immediately and implement corrective actions.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, or near-misses and prepare reports with recommendations.
• Support the Safety Officer/Project Manager in safety audits and MOM inspections.

• Must be a registered WSH Coordinator with MOM (Singapore).
• At least 10 years of safety coordination experience in construction, preferably in rebar and concrete structural works.
• Knowledge of risk assessments, Safe Work Procedures (SWPs), and Permit-to-Work (PTW) system.
• Familiarity with scaffolding, formwork, working-at-heights, and lifting operations safety.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage and guide a multicultural workforce.
• Ability to conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings effectively.
• Basic computer literacy for reporting and documentation.
