About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Assistant to join the team at Maison 21G. As a Warehouse Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse facilities, supporting the efficient movement of goods and maintaining the highest standards of organisation and safety.This position is essential to our logistics operations and directly contributes to our ability to deliver exceptional service to our customers.
What you'll be doing- Receiving, unloading, and inspecting incoming shipments and verifying contents against documentation
- Organising and storing goods in designated warehouse locations using appropriate storage methods
- Picking and packing items accurately according to order specifications and preparing them for dispatch
- Operating warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling tools safely and efficiently
- Maintaining accurate inventory records and assisting with stock counts and audits
- Ensuring the warehouse environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations
- Loading vehicles with goods and securing shipments to prevent damage during transit
- Supporting the warehouse team to meet daily targets and deadlines
- Identifying and reporting any damage, discrepancies, or safety hazards to management
- Proven experience working in a warehouse or distribution centre environment
- Strong physical fitness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods
- Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, and hand trolleys
- Excellent attention to detail with strong numerical and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, following instructions and safety protocols
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Relevant safety certifications or willingness to obtain them
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and shift patterns as required
- Basic computer literacy for inventory management systems is advantageous
