Client Relationship Manager (Industrial Automation)

Overview:

The key objective of the Client Relationship Manager is to prospect new business by digital marketing, advertising, cold calling, partnering, networking, and other methods of producing interest from potential clients in the manufacturing industry who are looking to develop new and/or upgrading existing automation systems used in their factories.

The Client Relationship Manager will work with their colleagues to design persuasive approaches and proposals to convert potential clients into business customers. By presenting new solutions and services to clients the Client Relationship Manager will further develop and maintain existing accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect for potential clients and convert them into increased business opportunities.
  • Present new products and services to improve existing relationships.
  • Engage internal and external contacts commercially.
  • Recognize opportunities for distribution channels, services, and campaigns that will result in sales.
  • Ensure all levels of staff portray the company in the best light.
  • Research and cultivate an accurate perception of the company’s mission and goals towards potential customers.
  • Forecast sales objectives and ensure they are fulfilled.
  • Submit and ensure data is accurate on weekly account progress reports.
  • Attend industry functions, including conferences and association events, and contribute information and feedback on upcoming market trends.
  • Be a point of escalation for customers to assuage client concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration or a related field or equivalent.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of direct sales experience in industrial automation.
  • Excellent communication skills in English & Mandarin-speaking candidates who are required to serve Mandarin-speaking clients.
  • Ability to handle pressures and meet deadlines.
  • Superior time management and organizational skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the industry and current events.
  • Ability to provide leadership in customer-facing engagements.
  • Willing to travel to regional trade shows & events.
