Production Technician (Front End)

About the role

This position is essential to maintaining our high standards of quality and meeting production targets across our manufacturing facility.

1. Operate and monitor front-end production equipment and machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures and safety protocols
2. Perform machine setting, troubleshoot and quality checks on components to ensure they meet specified standards and requirements
3. Prepare and organise materials, parts and work stations for efficient production runs
4. Record production data, batch information and quality metrics accurately throughout each shift
5. Identify and report equipment malfunctions, defects or quality issues to supervisory staff promptly
6. Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
7. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets and deadlines
8. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of production equipment as required
9. Follow all company policies, procedures and quality standards consistently

1. Previous experience as a Production Technician, Machine Operator or in a similar manufacturing role within the electronics, photonics or precision manufacturing industry
2. Sound understanding of production processes, equipment operation and quality control procedures
3. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions and specifications accurately
4. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high quality standards
5. Manual dexterity and ability to work with precision instruments and small components
6. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a production team
7. Willingness to follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
8. Ability to work shifts as required by production schedules
9. Basic mathematics and measurement skills
10. Problem-solving ability and proactive approach to identifying and reporting issues
11. Preferred: Experience in setting up and operating single point diamond turning machine
