Medical Laboratory Technologist, Clinical Laboratory

Responsibilities
- Receive and perform specimen reception from wards, clinics & external customers.
- Rotated to the different sections of the Clinical Laboratory (Processing, Chemistry, Immunology, Haematology, Blood Bank, Routine/External, Point of Care).
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of the section’s instruments.
- Perform quality assurance, inventory management and other duties as assigned.
- Assist with telephone queries on all laboratory tests, results, specimen collection instructions.
- Adhere to the department’s standard operating procedures and safety requirements.
- Participate in Quality Improvements projects and other quality initiatives.
- Degree in Biomedical Science / Biological Science or equivalent
- Good analytical and concentration skills
- Meticulous eye for details
- Good communication skills and able to work well in a diverse and fast paced environment
- Able to perform rotating and staggered shifts (morning, afternoon, night, weekends & public holidays), as required by the department
