Client Account Manager - Bedok

This role supports the Region sales by interpreting and responding to customer enquiries and managing the business relationship between STR and its client base. You will be required to demonstrate the ability to provide complete and appropriate solutions for our customers, offering exceptional attention to detail and being an excellent and confident communicator.

Main responsibilities of this role will include receiving and interpreting customer enquiries, providing pre-sales technical assistance, generating quotations and technical proposals, negotiating, and agreeing terms, processing orders through to client delivery, providing after-sales support, establishing new, and maintaining existing client relationships, travel to visit clients when required, supporting marketing campaigns by attending trade shows, conferences and other events where required.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Frontline client sales support and quoting
  • Client account management for key customers in the region
  • Promote and sell STR products and cable moulding services in the region
  • Technical scoping and proposals for complex bids
  • Sourcing third-party equipment for cross-hire
  • Sales reporting and analysis.
  • Support industry tradeshows and business development activities.
  • Assist STR group sales.
  • Have technical understanding of the rental and sales product offering.
  • Assistance to the Technical Operational Manager with workshop queries where required
  • Linking the sales with the technical and logistics operation in the APAC.
  • Be familiar with, and work in line with STR values and business strategy
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry technology and ensure familiarity through self-learning and liaison with equipment manufacturers
  • Provide constructive input to STR's QHSE procedures and processes
  • Ensure business systems are used correctly and information is uploaded / input in a timely manner
  • Be prepared to work alone or with little supervision from time to time
  • Willingness to spend time in other STR bases globally to support local sales activities, or attend training events
  • Willingness to travel to attend industry events and client meetings overseas
  • Provide ideas and solutions to aid company and product development
  • Be prepared to work to tight deadlines, and to work outside of standard office hours from time to time
  • Comply with the STR Compliance Program for both sales and operations aspects of this role.
  • Attend meetings and carry out other duties as required.

Job Knowledge and Experience:

  • Electronic engineering principles, techniques and practices
  • Health and safety in the workplace
  • Experience with asset-tracking databases
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Ability to work remotely with relevant IT access
  • Familiarity with STR's sales and rental equipment
  • Effective communicator
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Proven track record in marine technology sales/rentals.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from enquiry to close.
  • Knowledge of import and export laws and regulations.
  • Ambitious and self-motivated.
