Geylang - Windows Server Systems Engineer

About the role

This is an exciting contract opportunity for a talented Windows Server Systems Engineers X 2 to join the team at ES Recruitment Pte Ltd, based in the Ang Mo Kio region In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of critical Windows Server infrastructure, playing a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the company's IT systems.

Work hours: Mon to Fri Office hours with 24X7 support standby required

• To provide Maintenance and Operation Support for Data Center Common Infra Structure
• Assess & implement SR/CR within the stipulated SLA
• Provide supporting documentation, reports, and other information to management
• Support and verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs.
• Shall ensure that the System Software, inclusive of operating system, its associated system software and all attached components are operational at all times
• Assist in problem/incident resolution and determination
• Shall work with equipment vendors, service providers, system integrators and any necessary parties to analyse, troubleshoot and resolve all system-related problems so as to restore the system to operational ready state
• Shall promptly notify the Customer of any new vulnerability released by equipment /software vendors or any security advisory that affects the Customer system
• Shall obtain the updates and patches for all vulnerabilities from the equipment /software vendors and ensure that these updates/patches are tested and implement them on the affected system upon the Customer’s approval and time stipulated by the Customer
• 24x7 Standby Support required
• Expected to work during off-peak hours on scheduled system activities

• Singaporean as Cat 2A security clearance required in this project , must be willing to wait for clearance completed.
• Extensive experience in Windows Server administration and support
• Proficient in configuring and managing Windows Server 2019
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows Server services
• Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bash)
• Ideal candidate with skills on Nutanix HCI, Hyper-V, Veritas NetBackup (NBU), System Center Operation Manager 2012 (SCOM), SolarWinds, Red Hat Linux, System Centre Configuration Management (SCCM), Hitachi SAN Storage will be at advantage
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE) are highly desirable
