We’re assisting a boutique international preschool near Mountbatten MRT to hire a Lead Chinese Language Teacher for the N2 age group (3–4 years old) starting January 2026.
The school is housed in a purpose-built black-and-white bungalow with a private garden, and was recently recognised as one of Singapore’s top three preschools. It offers a close-knit, low-turnover teaching team and a warm, child-led learning environment guided by the International Preschool Curriculum (IPC), with strong Reggio and Montessori influences.
This role is ideal for educators planning ahead for the new school year who are confident teaching Mandarin, comfortable with international families, and excited to join a high-trust, play-based culture.
What You’ll Do- Deliver Mandarin lessons for the N2 cohort (ages 3–4)
- Plan and co-develop curriculum with your English co-lead and class assistant
- Facilitate inquiry-led, play-based Chinese learning experiences
- Engage meaningfully with parents at pickup/drop-off — 95% are non-Chinese-speaking expats
- Host parent-teacher meetings and curriculum townhalls (in English)
- Maintain classroom documentation (biweekly updates and journaling)
- Contribute to classroom setup and curriculum planning with the wider team
- ECDA-recognised L2 certification (Chinese Language track)
- Minimum 3 years of preschool group classroom experience
- Confident leading full-class Mandarin lessons independently
- Strong spoken English — must be able to lead parent meetings and school events
- Familiar with Reggio, Montessori, or other inquiry-based approaches
- Able to commit to a Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM fixed schedule
- Start Date: 5 January 2026
- Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Leave: Over 55+ paid weekdays off annually (MOE-aligned school calendar)
- Bonus: Annual performance bonus (1.5–2 months based on performance)
- Salary: $3,400 – $4,000/month
