Senior Manager - Fund Accounting Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to oversee a portfolio of outsourced fund accounting clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing client relationships, ensuring the delivery of high-quality accounting services, and leading a team of accounting professionals.
This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of fund accounting principles and consolidation experience.
Roles and responsibilities- You will be responsible for managing and overseeing a portfolio of fund accounting/fund administration clients ensuring the delivery and timely services
- Build, develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for all client inquiries and concerns.
- Lead and mentor a team of fund accounting professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Review work performed by junior team members to ensure quality and compliance with the relevant accounting standards.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and provide tailored accounting solutions.
- Monitor and manage client budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial goals.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance service delivery.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations to ensure compliance and provide informed advice to clients.
- Prepare and present financial reports to clients, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
- Ensure timely invoicing in respect of services performed and manage collections.
- Lead/participate in system improvements, change projects and business development opportunities
- Identifying and escalating any material issues effecting service delivery to the engagement partner;
- Any other functions required as part of the business of the Company, and reporting to the Service Line Leader.
- Manage billing, accounts receivable and WIP of client projects;
- Assist in drafting client’s proposal and client presentations.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Accounting and/or a professional accounting qualification (ie. CA, CPA or ACCA or equivalent)
- Min 10 years of public / private real estate accounting work experience
- Knowledge of IFRS and / or USGAAP
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English (both verbal and written).
- Motivated, bright and diligent individual who is driven to meet deadlines.
- A team player who is able to manage individual responsibilities.
- Sound judgment, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint etc).
- User experience with enterprise accounting system(s).
- Working knowledge of Yardi accounting system is highly desirable
- Experience in Limited Partnership accounting
