The Business Support Executive, Commercial Banking, will play a key role in supporting an assigned Relationship Manager (RM) and internal stakeholders in United Kingdom and Asia to achieve and exceed the performance objectives by establishing and developing new corporate target customer industry sectors aligned to the Bank’s strategy.

The working location for this role will be in Singapore.

This role requires a focused and dedicated professional who consistently strives to exceed expectations, while building strong, trusted relationships with business partners and internal stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct research, plan and implement new business sectors to target that are aligned to the Bank’s strategy.
  • Manage development projects and drive for the successful launch of new products in Commercial Banking.
  • Participate actively in all the relevant initiatives and activities across the business.
  • Develop and maintain effective marketing schedules.
  • Design and implement creative campaigns to attract new clients.
  • Support new business opportunities with internal stakeholders, with a focus on SME and corporate clients.
  • Support new business opportunities with internal stakeholders, focus on deposit balance, payments and transactions and foreign exchange (FX).
  • Support onboarding processes with internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure that as new business sectors are introduced, service levels and facilities are maintained and enhanced to improve customer satisfaction and brand loyalty.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party.
  • Foster strong internal relationships with colleagues and business partners to maximise the use of iFAST’s products and services.
  • Support client retention strategies for both new and existing customers.
  • Stay informed and engaged by participating in networking events, reading relevant industry publications and expanding your professional network.
  • Undertake ad-hoc functions and related duties as required.

Job Requirements

Education and Training
  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance, Business or a related discipline, with demonstrable relevant experience in a financial services or banking environment.
  • Keep informed of changes in financial and banking regulations.
  • Understand the regulatory licenses required for financial institutions (with training provided).
Experience and Skills
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in finance or marketing, preferably within the Retail or Commercial Banking sector.
  • Proven ability to meet key business targets, either individually or as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated success in generating innovative and creative ideas to drive revenue growth.
  • Organised, structured and methodical in day-to-day planning and execution.
  • Ability to interact, persuade and influence key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of UK regulatory compliance requirements, AML/Financial Crime and risk management principles is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin is an advantage to liaise with Cantonese/ Chinese speaking associates.
Independent Action and Decision Making
  • Proactively manage day-to-day activities ensuring all appropriate policies and procedures are always adhered to.
  • Carry out assignments according to bank’s policies, procedures and general directives providing independent assurance and recommendations to Head Office.
Accountability For Actions/ Results
  • Implement all necessary actions to achieve business objectives and successfully grow new business sector client bases as well as iFAST’s existing business sector client base.

  • Internal Relationships: Senior Management and colleagues that support your customers.
  • External Relationships/Contacts: Industry specialists, compliance firms, legal, accountancy and business partners.
