Job Description: As a Robotics Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of drone development, including hardware, software, and integration. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy autonomous drone systems that deliver high-quality results.
Your technical expertise will be essential in advancing our drone capabilities and ensuring standards of performance and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage projects that are related to Unmanned Aircraft systems.
- Ensure that project timelines and deliverables are completed to a high standard, this includes customer requirements and industry standards
- Foster a collaborative work environment among teams and managing resources.
- Carry out quality control checks of systems prior to delivery
- Fostering a collaborative environment for innovation and technical excellence.
- Familiarity with Unmanned Aircraft electronic design and development
- Drive the development and assembly of new Unmanned aircraft systems from scratch with an emphasis on safety, reliability and scalability.
- Modify Ardupilot / PX4 firmware code to meet clients needs
- Conduct and oversee performance and reliability testing of upcoming unmanned aircraft systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to the unmanned aircraft
- Any other duties as required by supervisor and management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in drone development, robotics, or autonomous systems.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and guide engineers.
- In Depth knowledge in Ardupilot, PX4 flight control software
- In Depth knowledge in the usage of Qground control and Mission planner software
- High Proficiency and knowledge about Unmanned Aircraft systems and components
- Good knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements for usage of Drones in Singapore.
- Well-versed with drone flight operations and safety requirements
- Proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, or Python
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with drone simulation software (e.g., Gazebo, AirSim), SITL and HITL.
- Good analytical skills
