Project Director (Data Centre Construction Projects)

Our client, a leader in the Data Centre EPC projects is looking for a Project Director to lead end to end project delivery of large-scale data Centre construction projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and overall direction for the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale data centre construction projects.
• Oversee all project management functions, including construction planning and methodology, project scheduling, safety management, quality assurance, contract administration, cost management, and project documentation.
• Develop and implement project execution strategies, ensuring optimal construction sequencing, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
• Lead tender management and contract negotiations with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure cost efficiency and commercial alignment.
• Drive the adoption of best-in-class construction technologies, methodologies, and equipment to enhance productivity and project outcomes.
• Provide leadership in budget planning, cost control, and financial reporting, ensuring projects remain within approved budgets.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, consultants, and contractors to resolve operational challenges and ensure smooth project delivery.
• Provide expert advice to senior management on technical, operational, and commercial risks, and recommend solutions to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices, particularly for mission-critical infrastructure environments.

Requirements:

• Minimum 15 years’ experience in the construction industry, with substantial responsibility at Senior Project Manager level or higher.
• Proven track record delivering large‑scale mission‑critical facilities, including Data Center projects, hyperscale or equivalent high‑availability infrastructure.
• Demonstrated end‑to‑end responsibility for design management, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Experience managing high‑value projects with strict programme, cost, quality, and safety constraints.
• Strong background in Design & Build contracting environments, preferably within Singapore or similar regulatory jurisdictions.
