Functional Relationships:

Strategic Planning Division: Engages with the Sales and Marketing Planning Division at Japan Headquarters to align regional strategies with global objectives.

Regional Management Companies: Collaborates with teams in Singapore, Asean, India, the United States, Europe, China, and South Korea to ensure cohesive operations and strategic alignment across regions, including business operations.

Product Division: Works closely with product teams in Singapore, Japan Headquarters and regional offices to align product marketing strategies with market demands.

Sales and Business Development Teams: Interfaces with sales managers and business development professionals across Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and India to drive sales growth and market penetration.

The successful candidate will play a key role in strategic planning and support Sales and Marketing initiatives in the ASEAN and India regions. This position requires a deep understanding of market dynamics, competitor behavior, and customer needs to develop tailored strategies that align with local demands and global standards, enabling the sustainable future regional growth.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Design and Implementation: Spearhead the development and implementation of innovative sales and marketing strategies tailored for the ASEAN and India regions. This involves overseeing the Policy PDCA cycle, organizing key business strategic events, ensuring effective inter division, cross countries coordination, monitoring budget allocations, and managing complex logistical arrangements to ensure seamless execution aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Policy and Strategy Formulation: Partner with internal & external stakeholders to meticulously develop and execute robust policies and strategies that foster organizational growth and address the distinct needs of regional markets. This entails in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Comprehensive Annual and Mid-term Planning: Spearhead the development of Initial Annual Policies and Mid-term Directional Strategies, while also outlining a visionary framework for the Director of the ASEAN and India Regional Management Company (RMC). This requires a progressive insight into market trends and foresight in aligning corporate objectives with regional realities.
  • Organizational Design and Human Resource Strategy: Assess future business environment scenarios to propose dynamic organizational designs and human resource strategies that are proactive and responsive to anticipated shifts in market conditions, ensuring the organization remains agile and competitive.
  • Customer and Distributor Strategy Development: Create effective strategies to engage key high-value clients and improve the performance of six Overseas Sales Affiliates (OSA). This involves understanding local market factors and building customized approaches to strengthen relationships with distributors.
  • Progressive Policy PDCA Cycle Management: Oversee the Policy PDCA Cycle, facilitating quarterly review meetings with Japan Headquarters’ Sales Division to critically assess performance metrics, evaluate the effectiveness of strategies, and implement responsive adjustments for continuous improvement.
  • Liaison Role with Japan Headquarters: Act as the primary point of contact for various initiatives with Japan Headquarters, fostering clear communication channels and ensuring that strategic objectives are effectively shared and pursued across organizational tiers.
  • Customer Support and Quality Assurance Management: Oversee critical customer support initiatives, including the Customer Support Conference and the Complaint Handling Award program led by Japan Headquarters, ensuring high service quality and responsiveness to customer needs.
  • Staff Development and Educational Initiatives: Design robust educational programs aimed at enhancing staff development and competencies in sales and marketing planning. Focus on cultivating skills that will empower teams to achieve higher performance levels and innovative thinking.

Ability/Competency Required:

  • Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a closely related field is essential, demonstrating advanced understanding of market dynamics and business strategy.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a strategically-oriented role is required, showcasing a proven track record of successful strategy development and implementation.
  • Relevant experience within the Electronics Industry is critical, reflecting a deep understanding of market trends, regulatory environments, and technological advancements.
  • Proficiency in advanced Strategic Marketing methodologies, including PESTLE Analysis, Porter’s Five Forces, BCG Matrix, McKinsey 7S, SWOT Analysis, BMC, and BSC, enabling informed decision-making in a competitive landscape.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical capabilities, coupled with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable reports, metrics, and proposals that drive strategic insights.
  • A strategic mindset and problem-solving skills ensure the prompt identification of challenges and the implementation of innovative solutions.
  • An acute awareness of external environmental factors, including geopolitical shifts and regulatory changes, with the capability to assess the implications for sales activities and organizational strategy.
  • Previous management experience in a global corporation is highly advantageous, adding depth to understanding complex organizational dynamics.
  • Willing to travel within ASEAN and India to support operations, strengthen relationships, and seize market opportunities.
