Geylang - IT Support Engineer (L1/ L2)

Eligibility: Open to Singapore Citizens only due to project requirements.

About the Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic IT Support Engineer to provide technical support to government staff. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations by delivering prompt, reliable, and customer-oriented support services.

Responsibilities:

• Provide onsite IT support at main and off-site locations, delivering excellent customer service.
• Respond to escalated helpdesk tickets, ensuring timely resolution, regular updates, and proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and basic network issues.
• Support software distribution, patch management, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Install and maintain inventory scanning and software distribution agents on all IT assets.
• Reinstall agents on devices identified as non-responsive by asset administrators.
• Assist in hardware deployment, cloning, and agent reinstallation when required.
• Prepare detailed and accurate reports on disposed IT assets for audit and tracking purposes.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for all supported equipment and services.
• Adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and proactively contribute to improving support quality.

Requirements:

• Minimum NITEC in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in IT desktop or technical support.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a support team.
• Only Singapore Citizens are eligible for this role, as it involves access to government systems.
