Objective / Purpose of the Job
The Application Sales Engineer will be accountable for achieving the following results:
§ Existing business development target
§ Ensuring customer satisfaction
Key Activities / Accountabilities- Sales Support & Deal Closing
- Assist senior sales engineers in qualifying leads, preparing technical proposals, addressing technical requirement and respond to RFPs/RFQ
- Attend to customer calls and site visits.
- Assist senior sales engineer in customer meetings (onsite/virtual) to demonstrate equipment, troubleshoot issues, and build trust.
- Pre/post-sale follow-ups to ensure customer success.
- Technical Learning & Application
- Understand our equipment/software to become a subject-matter expert
- Conduct product demos, feasibility studies, and proof-of-concepts (POCs) to win deals.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to translate customer needs into solutions.
- Travel to client sites to assist with installations, training, and troubleshooting.
- Document customer feedback and share insights with product/sales teams.
- Any other official duties assign by Management
Preferred Qualifications, Experience and Skills
Qualification:
Diploma/Degree in Engineering or related field
Experience:
§ With Equipment sales experience
§ Application knowledge in Semicon Industry
Technical Skills:
§ Relevant technical knowledge in equipment troubleshooting.
§ Negotiation skills
Competencies:
§ Communication capability with senior levels
§ Customer relationship management
§ Working supportively as a team member and effectively as an individual
§ Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively
§ Passion for sales
§ A self-motivated, hardworking and result oriented
§ Able to travel regionally within short notice
Language Capability:
§ Proficiency in spoken and written English required
