[ref. o33343924] Geylang - Manager / Senior Manager, AI

This Manager / Senior Manager role is in the AI Office of the Digital Tech & Computing cluster and will focus on:

• Execution of AI research strategy in A*STAR. This includes identifying key research areas, fostering collaboration between research institutes, and achieving alignment with Singapore"s goals in National AI Strategy 2.0.
• Coordinating a network of AI researchers across A*STAR"s research institutes and steering them to achieve the strategic objectives of the organisation, eg. in AI for Science, AI for Manufacturing, AI for Healthcare, and AI for Transport.
• Support the development and help oversee a portfolio of research initiatives in AI, fostering cutting-edge AI research, promoting them externally, and facilitating AI x X collaborations with other domain experts.
• Facilitate transformation of scientific research and technology development through promotion of more extensive use of data, AI and computing in A*STAR’s Data-AI-Computing (DAC) initiative.

• Background in Engineering, IT, or Computer Science with at least 2 years of working experience (for Manager) and 5 years of working experience (for Senior Manager) in AI
• Ability to think strategically, analyse issues from different angles and devise comprehensive solutions
• Knowledge in a broad range of digital technologies, the digital industry, their trends, challenges, and potentials, especially in AI developments
• Passion in shaping research and innovation in digital technologies to bring about economic and societal outcomes for Singapore
• Proactive learning attitude, attention to details and results-oriented
• Comfortable with delivering outcomes in complex environment within challenging timelines
• Experience in technology strategy development or programme management roles in the public service or research organisations would be a plus point
