Job description:
Changi Airport Group is part of the inter-agency team developing Changi East, which encompasses the future Terminal 5 - set to be one of the largest airport terminals in the world. Changi Airport Group welcomes you to join the team helping to shape Singapore's aviation future.
You will be part of the wider team responsible for the project management of mechanical and electrical systems such as fire protection systems, vertical transport systems, special airport systems, the integrated building management system and photovoltaic and electric vehicle charging systems for the Changi East development programme.
Your role will necessitate you to lead a team to oversee, at this point, the design management and guardianship of the different systems. To fulfil the requirements of this role, you would need to have strong content leadership, be outcome driven in a collaborative manner given the need to work closely with internal and external stakeholders such as the construction teams and the consultants, amongst others, to ensure that the M&E designs are executed and completed on time, safely, within budget and to agreed quality and standard.
Requirements- A good degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with at least 20 years of relevant working experience in design and project management of mechanical/ electrical systems, preferably with airport projects experience.
- Deep experience in design and implementation of electrical systems, e.g. high & low voltage power distribution systems, power & lighting distribution and circuiting, earthing, lightning protection, vertical transportation, etc , and mechanical systems e.g. ACMV, Fire Protection Systems, Plumbing and Sanitary systems, District Cooling System, Pneumatic Waste Conveyance System, etc.
- Good knowledge of codes and standards for M&E systems.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, highly driven, able to influence and analytical.
- Able to work independently to deliver results and have good project management skills.
- Proven leadership ability, good team player and able to handle fast paced projects.
- This is a contract position.
