We are seeking a dedicated and savvy Marketing Communications Manager to lead the department in branding and outreach initiatives to fulfil the organisation’s mission through:
- Marketing Communications
- Branding & Partnerships
- Community Outreach & Engagement
This is a highly collaborative role that will work closely with other departments such as the Artistic team, Production and Admin to ensure seamless synergy across the organisation’s external and internal communications.
Reports to: General ManagerDirect report: One employee
Work arrangement: Hybrid (in office & work from home)
Compensation: Basic monthly + AWS + annual performance bonus
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role will lead the department for the following:
Marketing Communications- Provide marketing direction and ideas for events and campaigns
- Manage the website and social media platforms through proposing and implementing content ideas to ensure timely updates and responses
- Strategise and execute integrated marketing and communications campaigns across social media, digital marketing, event marketing and Public Relations – helping to increase brand awareness, generate leads, and build community engagement
- Work with the team to plan, create and organise social content and posting across all channels – collaborating closely with the Artistic team, Production and Admin
- Manage media relations and Public Relations efforts to drive awareness and educate the public about our mission and events, promote the local arts community, advocate for the organisation’s impact, and garner public support
- Prepare speeches, press statements and handle media engagements
- Strategise awareness and success of our fundraising campaigns and crowdfunding platforms to target audiences and hit fundraising targets
- Manage production and distribution of e-newsletters, corporate videos, marketing collaterals, website content, and sponsorship decks
- Create designs for all materials, serving as a support to the entire organisation and helping create resources necessary for effective partner, community, and donor engagement
- Custodian of the organisation’s brand identity and apply branding guidelines across all communications, marketing collaterals and media usage
- Work closely with Artistic team to write and build compelling creative briefs and synopses for events and projects
- Manage a depository of all multimedia collaterals and working files including key visuals, photo and video archives – involves managing photographers, videographers, and editors for pre- to post-events
- Work closely with vendors and designers in creating and designing various assets including but not limited to social media content, infographics, display banners, print collateral, posters, reports, presentations, and various web-based elements
- Collect and manage photos, biographies and write-ups of artists and partners
- Work closely with venues, event partners and ticketing partners to build and manage event pages
- Establish and develop strong network of media partners and sponsors with new and existing contacts
- Work with creative and media agencies, branding consultants and event management partners for projects such as performance events, donor events and gala dinner
- Establish strong network and ties with our arts communities, arts groups, schools, community partners, corporate partners, and donors
- Develop outreach and awareness plans through public education, appreciation talks, webinars, and community fairs
- Prepare outreach education materials for talks and presentations
- Managing the Front of House for events to ensure pleasant and impactful audience experience
- Manage volunteers for events typically for Front of House duties and ushering
- Manage design and production of the organisation’s Annual Report
- Track, analyse and generate marketing reports
- Monitor and analyse efficacy outcomes through monthly reports using tools such as Google Analytics and Social Media Analytics
- Track, analyse and generate event attendance numbers
- Conduct audience survey and feedback at events and produce post-event analysis and reports for progressive audience development
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
- 5+ years of experience in marketing
- Excellent at creative writing and copywriting
- Highly resourceful with strong interpersonal and communications skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects at once
- Strong sense of ownership and target driven with a keen sense of innovation
- Flexible to work occasional weekday evenings and weekends for events (time off in lieu will be given)
