Responsibilities:
- Perform Wire Cut Electrical Discharge Machining (WEDM) operations in accordance with the established operations instruction manual.
- Ensure an optimum WEDM process for in-house mold fabrication and repair, meeting customer specifications and stipulated lead times.
- Implement continuous improvements in WEDM operations and machine programming to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
- Prepare and arrange programming for upcoming wire cut machining processes.
- Follow up on specific tasks, technical issues, and process-related problems under the guidance of the Supervisor.
- Ensure machine maintenance is carried out in accordance with the machine maintenance checklist and schedules.
- Conduct self-inspection of completed workpieces prior to routing them to the next manufacturing process.
- Recommend changes or improvements to work order instructions when necessary to improve quality, efficiency, or safety.
- Take reasonable care of workplace health and safety; abide by all EHS policies and procedures; cooperate with Management and colleagues in EHS initiatives
Requirements:
- NITEC 2 on Precision Engineering or relevant areas
- 1 – 2years relevant experience in handling wirecut machines
- Meticulous and able to perform rotating shifts
