Job Purpose
The Business Development & Marketing Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and strengthening the company’s brand in the renewable energy sector. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, developing marketing strategies, and supporting project acquisition across solar, wind, energy storage, and related clean energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development- Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities in renewable energy projects (solar PV, wind, BESS, EV charging, hybrid systems).
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, investors, utilities, regulators, and strategic partners.
- Lead project origination activities including site identification, feasibility discussions, and early-stage project development.
- Prepare and manage proposals, bids, tenders, RFQs, and commercial offers.
- Negotiate contracts, MOUs, PPAs, EPC contracts, and partnership agreements in coordination with legal and technical teams.
- Track market trends, policy developments, incentives, and competitor activities.
- Build and maintain a strong project pipeline aligned with company growth targets.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and market positioning.
- Oversee marketing materials including corporate profiles, pitch decks, brochures, case studies, and website content.
- Coordinate digital marketing initiatives (website, LinkedIn, email campaigns, SEO, thought leadership).
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, exhibitions, and networking forums.
- Support public relations activities and media engagement related to renewable energy projects and sustainability initiatives.
- Work closely with engineering, finance, and operations teams to ensure commercially viable project proposals.
- Support financial modeling inputs, ROI analysis, and pricing strategies.
- Assist in structuring project financing, partnerships, and joint ventures.
- Prepare management reports on sales performance, market intelligence, and pipeline status.
- Contribute to corporate strategy development and long-term growth planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, Energy Management, or related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in business development or marketing within renewable energy, power, infrastructure, or sustainability sectors.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, project development lifecycle, and commercial structures.
- Proven track record in winning projects, closing deals, and building strategic partnerships is an advantage
- Experience with EPC, IPP, utility-scale, or C&I renewable projects is preferred.
- Strong commercial, negotiation, and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and market research capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Results-driven with strong leadership and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office; CRM and marketing tools experience is a plus.
