Project Designer / Quantity Surveyor (Interior Design / Commercial Retail)

Summary:

• Basic salary + Bonus + AWS
• 5 Days Work Week
• Exposure to commercial retail fit-out projects
• East / Central Region

Responsibilities:

• Prepare design concepts, space planning, and layouts for commercial retail projects
• Develop 2D/3D drawings, shop drawings, and presentation materials
• Coordinate with clients and project teams on design requirements
• Ensure design complies with project specifications and timelines
• Assist in material selection and design detailing

• Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction works
• Take-off quantities from drawings for carpentry, finishes, M&E, and furnishings
• Source and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers
• Prepare tender submissions for construction projects
• Handle progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts
• Monitor project costs and ensure alignment with budget
• Liaise with designers, contractors, and suppliers on costing and materials
• Maintain proper documentation for all cost-related matters

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Quantity Surveying, or related field
• Experience in interior design, renovation, or fit-out projects preferred
• Familiar with AutoCAD, SketchUp, or related design tools
• Knowledge in material costing (carpentry, finishes, M&E) is an advantage
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple responsibilities
