Responsibilities:

Secure and manage tanker chartering contracts across product, crude, and chemical segments
Negotiate chartering terms to achieve optimal outcomes for clients and the business
Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication
Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate chartering activities and execution
Deliver market insights and tailored chartering solutions based on industry expertise
Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with adaptability and initiative

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the shipping department of a Japanese trading company or a Japanese shipbroking firm
Proven experience in tanker chartering (product, crude, and/or chemical markets)
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to perform in a fast-paced, international environment
Strong team player with a results-driven mindset
Proficiency in English for effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders
Proficiency in Japanese language for liaising with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders
