Cashier's Team Lead (Tampines Megastore)

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Cashier Lead will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the cashiering function across assigned retail outlets, ensuring smooth operational flow, excellent customer service standards, and efficient manpower deployment. This role serves as the key liaison between outlet operations, finance processes, and cashier team management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To lead, supervise, and provide training to the cashier teams, with the objective of enhancing service standards and operational efficiency.
• To manage manpower planning, duty roster scheduling, and attendance arrangements for the cashier teams, including coordinating and monitoring overtime arrangements where necessary.
• To handle on-site operational issues and oversee customer service matters, including the timely resolution of customer complaints and ad-hoc situations.
• To provide operational support and stand in as cashier when required.
• To perform other related administrative duties, including managing and applying for banking payment terminals, assisting in applications for utility services for retail outlets.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in retail operations, cashier supervision, or customer service leadership.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
• Good understanding of retail cashiering operations and payment systems.
• Able to work in a fast-paced retail environment, including weekends and public holidays where required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and basic reporting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer escalations professionally.
