Finance Manager, Accounting - Toa Payoh

Ensure compliance with Group’s policies and relevant laws/ regulations in respect of financial matters and contribute positively to the company’s profitability and return on investment by exercising effective cost control measures and asset management.

Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate financial and management accounting functions

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that accounting for monthly / quarterly / yearly closing are completed on time and accurately
• Ensuring compliance to accounting standards
• Review of accounts reconciliations and schedules
• Review and approval of payments and other banking applications
• Oversee annual audit and annual statutory accounts
• GST and tax computations and filing
• Continuously review internal control processes for effectiveness and relevance, and recommend improvements
• Ensuring capital expenditure requests are within budget
• Provide advice, guidelines and instructions to shared services centre and review their performance according to Service Level Agreement
• Provide support to Reporting team to formulate budget and forecasts
• Cashflow and foreign exchange management
• Review and co-ordinate insurance coverage of company’s assets
• Collaborate with Digital Technology team – user acceptance tests for new programs, automation to improve work processes, parameters and interface set-ups, etc.

• University degree or professional qualification (e.g. ACCA) in Accounting or equivalent
• At least 8 years of working experience in finance & accounting
• Preferably has some audit experience
• Preferably has automotive experience
• Strong knowledge in areas of accounting, taxation, finance, commercial law
• Strong excel skills
• Strong business acumen and excellent interpersonal skills
