Systems Engineer

Henderson Security Services is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, operational systems, and enterprise applications that enable security operations and business services.

The role focuses on ensuring system reliability, performance monitoring, and secure integration of applications and platforms used across the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining Linux-based environments, middleware components, and automation tools while supporting internal teams and mission-critical systems.

• Manage and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure and middleware platforms supporting internal security operations and enterprise applications.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and health using monitoring tools such as Grafana, Kibana, or similar monitoring platforms.
• Provide technical support and incident resolution for production systems, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Administer and maintain Linux-based servers and services, including system monitoring, log analysis, and performance tuning.
• Configure and manage application servers and middleware technologies such as Apache Tomcat, WebSphere, or similar enterprise platforms.
• Support system integration and data communication platforms, including messaging and streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka or equivalent tools.
• Implement automation scripts using Shell/Bash to streamline operational tasks and improve system efficiency.
• Support software deployment and configuration management using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, or similar platforms.
• Implement system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes in accordance with IT operational and change management procedures.
• Configure load balancing and high availability solutions to ensure system resilience and operational continuity.
• Manage SSL/TLS certificates and security configurations to ensure secure communication between systems.
• Work with automation tools such as Ansible or similar configuration management tools to improve system deployment processes.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams and business stakeholders to support enterprise applications and operational technology platforms.
• Maintain system documentation, configuration records, and operational procedures.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3 - 6 years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure support, or IT operations roles.
• Strong experience working with Linux / Unix operating systems.
• Experience supporting enterprise applications, middleware platforms, or messaging systems.
• Familiarity with system monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Kibana, or similar technologies.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems such as Jenkins, Git, or Bitbucket.
• Experience with automation tools or scripting languages such as Shell/Bash or Ansible.
• Understanding of network security, SSL/TLS certificates, and secure system configurations.
• Experience using IT service management tools such as Jira or ServiceNow for incident and change management.
• Experience with Apache Kafka or enterprise messaging systems.
• Knowledge of API gateways or integration platforms such as WSO2 or similar technologies.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• Experience supporting enterprise or mission-critical IT environments.
