Machine Technician - Bukit Batok

SUMMARY

As a Machine Technician, you will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. This role involves performing routine maintenance, addressing mechanical issues, and ensuring that machines operate efficiently and safely.

Main duties & responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment
• Inspect machines regularly to identify and address potential issues
• Clean and lubricate machines

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in machinery and equipment
• Execute repairs on malfunctioning machines, including replacing or repairing defective parts
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to resolve complex technical problems

• Assist with the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment
• Calibrate and adjust machines to meet production specifications and quality standards

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and machine performance
• Report major issues or required repairs to the Maintenance Manager or Production Supervisor
• Update maintenance logs and contribute to maintenance planning and improvement strategies

Key skills & attributes

• Adhere to safety protocols and best practices while working on machinery and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards.
• Conduct safety inspections and report hazards to ensure a safe working environment.

• Work closely with production staff to understand machine performance and address issues promptly.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding maintenance activities and machine status.

• Technical certification or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred
• Minimum of 1 years of experience in machine maintenance or a similar technical role
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Maintenance Technician) advantageous but not mandatory
