MISSION

The Digital Content Specialist at the International French School in Singapore is responsible for managing and creating engaging content for the school’s social media platforms. In addition, this position supports the Marketing Communications team in developing and implementing website content.

The role requires close collaboration with admin staff, students, parents, and teachers to build strong relationships within the school community. By doing so, the specialist ensures that the content is relevant and reflects the vibrant school life, ultimately enhancing the school’s online presence and fostering community engagement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Digital Content Specialist: Core Responsibilities

Content Development and Management
  • Create, write, and publish diverse content (text, images, photos, videos, audio, etc.) including posts, reels, and advertisements for the school's social media platforms.
  • Ensure all content is engaging, informative, and consistent with the school's values.
Collaboration and Coordination
  • Coordinate with teachers, staff, administrative and pedagogical directors, and the Marketing Communications & Admissions teams to maintain consistent messaging.

Social Media Management Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a social media editorial calendar.
  • Create and manage social media and communication campaigns aligned with marketing goals.
  • Produce engaging text, image, and video content for social media platforms.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, directors, and Admissions to maintain consistent messaging across all school activities and the entire student/family lifecycle.
  • Respond promptly to social media comments and community inquiries.
  • Enhance and maintain the school's online presence.
  • Ensure adherence to regulations, brand guidelines, and editorial standards.
  • Foster loyalty within online communities through active engagement.
  • Monitor and report on online feedback and reviews.
  • Participate in events to build community and increase brand recognition.
  • Identify and recommend new online communication channels for the school.
  • Track the visibility and engagement metrics of each social media platform
  • Monitor other school’s media presence and monitor other expatriate social media groups for IFS mentions.
  • Contribute to the press review by monitoring the school's and competitors' social media presence.

Website and Intranet Backup Support (as required):

  • Support the editorial calendar updates for the website.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders (contributors and validators) for website and intranet updates.
  • Create, write, and publish online content (texts, images, photos, videos, audio).
  • Provide technical and operational support for implementing stakeholder-desired improvements (blogs, event reservations, online application system, etc.).
  • Ensure content conformity and editorial quality align with the school's graphic charter and relevant regulations (internal, Singaporean - CPE, PPDA, etc.).
  • Support website referencing and search engine visibility.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

This role requires a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in digital content creation, social media management, or a similar area.

Key abilities include:

  • Creating engaging, high-quality content across various formats (text, images, photos, videos, audio).
  • Demonstrating in-depth knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and effective strategies.
  • Building and nurturing relationships within the school community, fostering online engagement.
  • Possessing technical proficiency with website content management systems (CMS), social media platforms, SEO, and analytics tools.
  • Exhibiting excellent written and verbal communication skills to create clear, compelling, and engaging messages.
  • Demonstrating strong organizational skills to effectively manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Applying basic design skills using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) or equivalent software.

A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field is expected, and relevant certifications are advantageous. Proficiency in both English and French is highly desirable.

  • Full time position of 42 hours/week
  • Remuneration will be based on salary scale in IFS
