Assistant Director, Integrated Club & Community Outreach

Job Summary

The Assistant Director, Integrated Club & Community Outreach provides group-level leadership and oversight for integrated club and community engagement across the CMEG Group. The role drives strategic alignment, cross-club synergies, partnership development, performance management and governance to deliver cohesive, scalable and impactful programmes for NSmen and the wider community.

1. Strategic Leadership and Planning

• Develop and steer the overall Integrated Club & Community Engagement strategy across clubs.
• Translate organisational priorities into clear plans, frameworks and KPIs.
• Ensure alignment with SAFRA’s organisational, membership and defence engagement objectives.

1. Programme Oversight and Integration

• Provide oversight of programme portfolios across clubs to ensure alignment of objectives, consistency in delivery standards and optimal use of resources.
• Drive cross-functional integration between Projects & Engagement and Marketing & Partnerships.
• Guide clubs in planning and executing engagement programmes relevant to NSmen and community segments.
• Drive consolidation and optimisation of programme calendars to improve coordination and avoid duplication.

1. Partnership Development and Stakeholder Engagement

• Establish frameworks and standards for partnership development and management, including roles, deliverables, branding, risk ownership and performance evaluation.
• Oversee key partnerships with defence agencies, SAF Camps and community organisations.
• Position SAFRA as a key platform for NSmen and community engagement.

1. Leadership, Capability Building and Resource Optimisation

• Support Club Managers and functional leads on Club Engagement and community outreach.
• Foster collaboration, capability development and shared accountability across clubs.
• Review resource allocation, manpower utilisation and budget deployment to achieve economies of scale and operational efficiency.

1. Governance, Performance Management and Reporting

• Ensure robust governance, compliance and risk management frameworks are implemented consistently.
• Monitor performance through data, insights and reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement in programme effectiveness, participation and impact.
• Prepare and present strategic updates, performance reports and recommendations to senior leadership and relevant committees.

1. Marketing Support for Related Divisions

• Oversee marketing support for the Event Management & Engagement Division.
• Ensure alignment of campaigns and outreach strategies across relevant divisions.

• Degree in a relevant discipline such as Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Community Development, Public Administration, Social Sciences, Organisational Development or other related fields.
• Relevant experience in strategic planning, community engagement, programme management, marketing, partnerships or organisational development.
• Strong leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams and multi-site operations.
• Strong stakeholder management and partnership development capabilities.
• Good understanding of governance, performance management, budget oversight and risk management.
• Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
