Your role

The Retail Eyecare Manager plays a critical role in driving Spectacle Hut's success by elevating our eyecare services and enhancing the customer experience. This leadership position will oversee all aspects of our eyecare operations within a designated region/district, from developing and implementing innovative patient care protocols to leading and mentoring our eyecare teams.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical foundation, a strategic mindset, and a proven ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Vision & Leadership:

Develop and implement level eyecare strategies aligned with Spectacle Hut's overall business objectives, focusing on customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty.

Lead the development and implementation of innovative patient care pathways, including personalized eye care plans and enhanced customer communication strategies within the entire Spectacle Hut

Drive the evolution of eyecare services within Spectacle Hut, incorporating cutting-edge technologies and best practices in myopia management, advanced diagnostics, and ocular health screening.

Analyze performance data and identify areas for improvement in patient care, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Operational Excellence:

Oversee the quality and consistency of eyecare services across all Spectacle Hut stores, ensuring adherence to in store clinical protocols and regulatory standards.

Develop and implement robust training programs for eyecare professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to patient satisfaction, clinical outcomes, and operational efficiency within Spectacle Hut.

Drive operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness within the eyecare department.

Team Leadership & Development:

Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team of eyecare professionals within the assigned region/district, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Identify and develop high-potential talent within the eyecare team within the assigned region/district, providing opportunities for growth and advancement.

Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including retail operations, marketing and, product teams and customer service.

Customer Experience:

Drive initiatives to enhance the overall customer experience in Spectacle Hut, ensuring exceptional patient care and satisfaction at every touchpoint.

Proactively address customer feedback and complaint, leveraging insights to improve service delivery and enhance customer loyalty.

Champion a customer-centric culture within the eyecare department.

Technology & Innovation:

Evaluate and implement new technologies and digital solutions provided by the company to enhance patient care, streamline operations, and improve.

Stay abreast of the latest advancements in eyecare technology and best practices.

Main requirements:

  • Candidate must be a qualified Optometrist (Degree / Diploma in Optometry)
  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in retail optometry and/or corporate functions, with a strong track record of success in leadership and management roles.
  • Deep expertise in myopia management, advanced diagnostics, and ocular health.
  • Strong leadership, mentorship, and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability1 to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Results-oriented with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for driving business growth.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
