We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workday Financial Integration Consultant with a strong background in Workday Financials and a proven track record in integration design, development, and implementation. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in connecting Workday Financials with other critical business systems, ensuring seamless data flow, accuracy, and process efficiency.This role requires deep expertise in Workday's integration tools, a solid understanding of financial processes, and the ability to translate complex business needs into robust technical solutions for reporting, data migration, and module rollouts.
Key Responsibilities:
Workday Financials Implementation & Configuration:
Lead or actively participate in the full lifecycle implementation of Workday Financials modules (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Banking and Settlement).
Conduct comprehensive business process analysis and gather detailed requirements from finance and business stakeholders, identifying integration points and data dependencies.
Translate complex business requirements into effective Workday solutions, configuring Workday Financials to meet organizational needs and best practices, with a keen eye on downstream integration impacts.
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, manage user acceptance testing (UAT), and support data conversion activities, ensuring data integrity across integrated systems.
Provide expert guidance on Workday functionality, advising on optimal system utilization and process improvements, specifically related to integrated financial workflows.
Develop and deliver clear, concise training to end-users and administrators, empowering them to effectively use integrated Workday Financials capabilities.
Workday Financial Integration Design & Development:
Design, develop, test, and deploy complex integrations between Workday Financials and various internal using Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIBs), Core Connectors, and Packaged Integrations.
Analyse existing integration landscapes and identify opportunities for optimization, efficiency gains, and error reduction.
Develop custom reports, dashboards, and advanced reporting solutions within Workday to support financial analysis, compliance, and operational insights, often requiring integrated data sets.
Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, working closely with functional teams, IT, and third-party vendors.
Manage and execute data migration strategies for financial modules, ensuring data accuracy and integrity during initial deployments and ongoing system enhancements.
Qualifications:
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
5+ years of experience working with Workday Financials, with at least 3 years specifically focused on Workday Financial integrations.
Deep functional understanding of core Workday Financials modules (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Procurement, Expenses, Projects, Adaptive Planning).
Expert-level proficiency with Workday integration tools: Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIBs), Core Connectors, and Packaged Integrations.
Strong understanding of web services (REST/SOAP), XML, XSLT, JSON, and other integration technologies.
Proven experience in designing, developing, testing, and deploying complex integrations.
Experience with financial data migration strategies and execution.
Ability to gather, analyse, and translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
