About the role Ushidoki Wagyu Kaiseki, a prominent restaurant in Downtown Tanjong Pagar, seeks a skilled Chef de Partie to join their culinary team. This full-time role offers the chance to showcase expertise in Japanese cuisine and enhance guests' dining experiences.
Responsibilities- Assist the Head Chef in preparing and presenting meticulously crafted Kaiseki-style dishes to ensure authentic quality
- Maintain the highest standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene throughout kitchen operations
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to manage efficient service flow and timely dish delivery
- Develop and refine new menu items inspired by traditional Japanese culinary techniques
- Mentor and train junior kitchen staff by sharing culinary knowledge and best practices
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen environment to support smooth operations
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or equivalent, ideally in a high-end Japanese or Kaiseki restaurant
- Thorough understanding of Japanese culinary traditions, ingredients, and flavor profiles
- Ability to deliver visually stunning and delicious dishes with strong attention to detail
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills to perform effectively in a fast-paced kitchen
- Passion for continuous learning and adaptability to new culinary techniques and industry trends
- Strong team player with effective communication and interpersonal skills
