Senior Process Engineer (O&G) - Bukit Merah

The Opportunity:

My client in O&G sector is planning for major facility upgrading. The company is looking for process engineer / senior process engineer to work for the design, analysis, and implementation of process-related infrastructure. This role supports new construction, expansion, and upgrade projects by ensuring engineering deliverables meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards, while aligning with operational and business goals.

The Job:

• Design and analyze process infrastructure systems to support terminal improvement, expansion, and implementation projects.
• Develop engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations, ensuring adherence to local codes, industry standards, and internal policies.
• Conduct conceptual and feasibility studies, prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Scope of Work documents, and technical specifications for vendor tendering.
• Evaluate vendor/contractor proposals and provide cost estimations.
• Review and verify contractor and vendor design submissions against client specifications, international standards, statutory codes, and corporate guidelines.
• Provide technical clarification and resolve design-related issues during various project stages.
• Collaborate with contractors and internal teams on detailed engineering to ensure system optimization and design integrity.
• Support construction, integration, testing, and commissioning activities, ensuring alignment with the approved design.
• Participate in risk assessments, hazard and operability studies (HAZOP), and other engineering reviews to ensure design safety and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with internal departments such as process safety, operations, and subject matter experts.
• Liaise with external stakeholders including contractors, consultants, suppliers, and regulatory authorities to facilitate project progress.

The Talent:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in process engineering within O&G industry.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD) and other relevant engineering tools.
• Familiarity with safety standards, regulations, and environmental compliance.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
