We are looking for a Systems Engineer to support the institutes IT infrastructure and operations. The candidate will provide level 2 and level 3 support for IT services, assist with new setups, as well as review and implementation security and compliance measures.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's degree in computer-related studies
- At least 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience
- Strong knowledge in servers and hardware technology
- Experience with open-source software packages and IT infrastructure services
- Good understanding of best practices and cybersecurity concepts
- Experience or strong knowledge in Linux system administration, scripting, storage, and security
- Experience with Virtualization and Containerization
- Knowledge in networking, firewalls, and routing
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with local scientific research environment.
- Experience with computational clusters (e.g., SLURM).
- Familiarity with Linux-based scientific tools and software.
- Experience with automation tools like Ansible or similar.
