Kitchen assistant (japanese restaurant) - Bedok

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Chef witH preparing yakitori skewers, appetizers, and other Japanese dishes, maintaining authentic flavors and presentation.
• Follow strict food safety regulations and ensure cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
• Manage food preparation efficiently, particularly during peak hours, while maintaining high standards.
• Support stock management by monitoring ingredient levels and minimizing waste.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and assist in developing new menu items.
• Learn and master traditional Japanese cooking techniques under the guidance of experienced chefs.

Job Requirements:

• 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably with Japanese or yakitori experience.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for Japanese cuisine and willingness to learn and grow in culinary techniques.
• Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness, quality, and presentation.
