Family Support Officer

Job Description:

• Ensure the effective implementation of casework and outreach initiatives for the core programmes at all M.Y World Preschool centres
• Provide support for the implementation of the organization's outreach plans and identifies potential platforms for outreach
• Support the implementation of relevant frameworks, protocols and procedures in his/ her own area of work
• Conduct needs assessment and identify key risks and protective factors for intervention
• Develops child-centric case plan for each child identified with moderate/ high risks to coordinate support for the children and families
• Use different modes of engagement for the purpose of assessment, intervention and monitoring
• Create, follow up and review individualised case plans
• Conduct parenting workshops to engage parents in supporting children’s learning and development
• Participate in monthly case discussions with stakeholders to collaboratively address challenges and provide better support for identified children
• Maintain proper documentations and ensure timely submission for all assigned cases

Job Requirement(s):

• Diploma in Early Childhood, Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in working with young children and families
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge and ability to assess psycho-social needs and provide intervention for families/ caregivers
