URGENT: Safety Officer (Construction/Semiconductor)

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and enforce workplace safety and health (WSH) standards across all projects, ensuring compliance with safe work practices.
• Conduct daily site inspections to monitor work activities and verify adherence to safety procedures.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Perform risk assessments for all projects and maintain high standards of safety and site housekeeping.
• Conduct safety orientations and daily toolbox meetings to promote a strong safety culture.
• Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures in line with local regulatory requirements.
• Manage internal audits for OHSAS 18001 and BizSafe Star certification renewals/surveillance.
• Ensure full compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act and other relevant statutory regulations.
• Identify unsafe conditions or work practices and implement corrective measures to mitigate risks.
• Inspect delivered project materials for compliance and arrange testing as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Possess a valid registration with MOM as Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO).
• BCSS, Advanced Certificate in WSH (Level B), Work-At-Height Course for Supervisor Certificate and Risk Management Certificate is an advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in Engineering and Construction Industry.
• Familiar with construction site safety inspections and regulations.
